Hello Conquerors!Cooler weather showed up just in time for our mini retreat! TCC members enjoyed a stay-cation weekend at the beautiful Lodge at Ventana Canyon Resort. We hiked and Mindful Meandered through Sabino Canyon to a breakfast picnic area in the cool mountain outdoors. Then…lunch at the pool, water volleyball and aerobics, painting, educational lectures and a fabulous healthy dinner on the Flying V patio with Chef Ken. If you couldn’t join us this time don't worry, we will definitely do it again.

With this month being Breast Cancer Awareness month we have a lot going on! Eegees has selected us to be their featured charity for their Drink Pink Campaign the month of October. TCC will get a portion of their pink Lemonade Eegees sales as well as the coin canisters at every Tucson Eegees register. Buy a bucket for your office and send us a photo with your crew and we’ll post it on our Facebook page. Thanks for supporting TCC by drinking Pink!

All of our many programs would not be possible without the amazing support of our community partners. A big thank you this month to Norma Zimdahl for supporting our TCC organization. Norma is an accomplished musician with a long successful career in radio and television. She has used her musical gifts for philanthropy, supporting charitable causes that make America a better place. She is passionate about our local community and we are so lucky to be the recipient of her generous gift!

After Coffee Café announcements, we invite you to come down to the comfy TCC Resource Room to enjoy a quiet chat or to browse and check out a book from our lending library. We also offer information about community support services and local events of interest and a Member Resource Directory. The Resource Room is open Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings during Get Fit classes and during Saturday Coffee Café. The TCC Book Groupies meet on the third Saturday morning of each month. For the October 21st meeting, Ambre Cole will lead the discussion of The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane by Lisa See.

For November 18th, Jenny Waters will lead our discussion of Animal Dreams by Barbara Kingsolver. The novel is a suspenseful love story and a moving exploration of life’s largest commitments.
