Hello Conquerors!

Wow - December was a month filled with fun and excitement!

Our Annual TCC Holiday Luncheon at Tucson Country Club was a great way to recognize volunteers and supporters and celebrate the holiday season with good friends. Thank you to the Holiday Luncheon committee for a wonderful event.

This is the first year that TCC has sponsored the Holiday High Tea at Loews Ventana  Canyon Resort. Friends and family gathered for savory treats from Chef Ken Harvey and fabulous shopping at our raffle and silent auction. All of our High Tea volunteers did a wonderful job making the event festive and fun.

A special thank you to Tucson Lifestyle Magazine, Tony and Alex on their guitars, Dr. Christine Mansfield from Arizona Reproduction Institute, Alex from Ben Bridge Jewelers, and the many other supporters who donated items and attended our event!

Back at the park, once again Chef Ken entertained us with a tasty cooking demo at our December birthday celebration. White chocolate peppermint bark for everyone…

Our many programs would not be possible without the generous support of our donors. Thank you Tina Ernle from eegees for selecting The Tucson Cancer Conquerors as the recipient of their Drink Pink Campaign. She presented us with a generous check plus all of the coins from the register canisters which we had lots of fun counting and rolling at Coffee Café. Thank you eegees!

As we look ahead to 2018, we will be creating a new format for our newsletter. As always we will be sharing our highlights and recognizing our donors. For all other info we encourage you please check out our interactive calendar on our website so you don’t miss the fun!

Peace and good health for 2018. Happy New Year!

Coffee Café, the TCC Resource Room and more!

Saturday Coffee Café

Even if you don't come for exercise class, please join us at the TCC Coffee Café to share a snack, socialize and hear about all our upcoming activities! The Coffee Café happens after every Saturday morning right after exercise class at the Brandi Fenton Park Visitor's Center.

TCC Resource Room

After Coffee Café announcements, we invite you to come down to the comfy TCC Resource Room to enjoy a quiet chat or to browse and check out a book from our lending library. We also offer information about community support services and local events of interest and a Member Resource Directory. The Resource Room is open Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings during Get Fit classes and during Saturday Coffee Café.

On Saturday, February 17th Sue Gilles will lead the TCC Book Groupies' discussion of Breaking Trail by Arlene Blum. With candor and humor, Breaking Trail recounts Arlene Blum’s journey from an overprotected childhood in Chicago to the tops of some of the highest peaks on earth, and to a life lived on her own terms. This book is a moving testament to the power of taking risks and pursuing dreams.
